The Rolex Submariner 126610LV Enlivens the Classic ‘Kermit’ Green & Black Colourway

In April 2020, Rolex initially announced that it would detain its new 2020 watch launches indefinitely. However, the watchmaker finally introduced its new novelties last year lately. The entirely new generation of the Submariner collection undeniably created a buzz.

Rolex released four new references, and ideally, the fascinating iteration of the steel Submariner is the Reference 126610LV. The watch enlivens the classic colour combination of the famous ‘Kermit’, featuring a black dial and a green bezel. However, the new green Rolex Submariner also marked the discontinuation of the iconic Submariner ‘Hulk’ 116610LV.

Thus, the Rolex Submariner 126610LV in green represents one of the most vital legacies in luxury watchmaking. Let’s dig into more details about the current green Submariner model.

The Latest Rolex Submariner Reference 126610LV

The Larger 41mm Oyster

The current revised Rolex Submariner watches debuted with a more prominent case size, measuring 41mm instead of 40mm. However, the new models will look smaller if you place the 40mm and 41mm models side by side. The fact is that Rolex has increased the Oyster case very minimally and equipped the new Submariners with smaller lugs.

Thus, you can spot the differences only by looking at the smaller delicate lugs. The Submariner 126610LV features a gleaming black dial and a green ceramic bezel like the previous Kermit model. However, the Kermit sported a markedly different green shade on the bezel because of its darker aluminium track.

The Brand-new Movement

Another upgraded feature you can see on the dial is the tiny crown between the words ‘Swiss Made’, referring to the new Calibre 3235. This movement offers higher durability and shock absorption. Moreover, thanks to the new ball-bearing rotor, Calibre 3235 provides an increased power reserve to 70 hours from 40 hours.

The significant elements of the movement include the Paraflex shock absorber and the blue Parachrom hairspring crafted of zirconium-niobium alloy. Moreover, it is resistant to magnetic fields. Rolex offered a sunburst finish to the new movement on the automatic bridge and the cutout rotor. Overall, the new Calibre 3235 is impressive, delivering a substantial power reserve.
